One to one total immersion with Neil Shilling*
Stay in the heart of Canterbury and perfect your business/technical or advanced English with Neil Shilling, renowned language teacher and linguist, who is also deeply grounded in international law, business, finance and investments.
Live with and take meals with Neil, Elizabeth and our son, Adam. Elizabeth Carter is a well-known food critic and writer. Adam, 15, is a student at Simon Langton Grammar School in Canterbury.
Our family home is quietly situated, yet is just a five-minute stroll from the centre of Canterbury and its busy city life. You will have your own modern bathroom and bedroom with your own TV with DVD, radio and CD player, and a number of DVDs and audio books to supplement your lessons.
The course, which is customized to suit the special needs of each candidate, can be for 1 or 2 weeks. The course is aimed particularly at business and professional people who need to advance to the next level or are taking a special examination or giving a presentation in English. Candidates should already speak English at least at intermediate level.
*Total Immersion – The course is focused on 24 hour English spoken, thought and dreamt. It’s the only way that works. I know, having learned 5 languages on my own.
Neil Shilling worked in international law, business and finance for a number of years before returning to his first love, teaching languages.
